Railway Benefit Fund (RBF) is proud to mark the one-year anniversary of its official charity partnership with Railpen. Over the past twelve months, this collaboration has proven instrumental in providing essential support to the UK rail community, reinforcing a shared commitment to the industry’s workforce.
Through a dynamic calendar of joint initiatives and corporate advocacy, the partnership has successfully raised over £66,000. These funds have been directed toward RBF’s mission of supporting railway people and their families facing financial hardship or difficult life transitions.
A Partnership in Action
The first year of the partnership has been defined by active participation and celebration. Highlights included the Railpen team taking part in the Million Step Team Challenge and their sponsorship of the Lifetime Achievement Award at RBF’s annual Heart of Gold Awards.
These events, among many others, have allowed the two organisations to bridge the gap between long-term financial security and individual hardship needs, ensuring that support for the rail community is visible and accessible.
Jo Kaye, CEO of Railway Benefit Fund, said:
” It has been an incredible twelve months working with the team at Railpen. We are a people-first industry, and this partnership is built on a shared heritage and a deep-rooted commitment to the wellbeing of the UK’s Railway Family. By supporting the RBF, Railpen is helping ensure that no one in our industry has to face hardship alone. We’re proud to have a partner that recognises the importance of our work and stands with us in protecting the health and happiness of those who keep our country moving.”
Jonathan Clark, Director of Corporate & Client Affairs at Railpen, added:
“One year on, our relationship with the RBF is a powerful expression of Railpen’s purpose in action. While we work every day to secure our members’ futures, we are equally committed to supporting the wider needs of the people who keep us connected. RBF’s vital work provides help when it is needed most, and we’re proud to partner with an organisation that shares our long-standing commitment to the rail community.”
As the partnership enters its second year, both organisations remain dedicated to building on this momentum. The continued support from Railpen ensures that RBF can remain agile and responsive to the evolving needs of the railway family, ensuring the industry’s “heart”, its people is always protected.
