Following a competitive review of its communications programme, global rail infrastructure provider, SilverRail, has selected technology challenger specialist, Harvard, as its retained PR agency to support its growth plans with the UK market.

Working with some of the biggest companies across the rail industry, including LNER, Egencia, National Rail and plenty more, SilverRail is building a digital infrastructure that makes rail easy for the entire ecosystem, whether that’s travellers, carriers, or travel agencies.

With air travel and cars being a major source of pollution, mass transit systems are becoming a better alternative to help reduce congestion and provide a smaller carbon footprint. However, with high fixed costs and legacy technology it can be difficult for rail carriers to deliver digitally enabled services that today’s travellers expect. SilverRail provides rail operators and travel agencies with the tools they need to increase revenue, reduce costs, and provide passengers with a great experience.

Frederic Kalinke, Senior Director of Marketing & Strategy at SilverRail said: “As a fast-growing company, we needed to find an agency partner that could reach and grow awareness with our key audiences, while understanding our solutions and the value they can bring. We’re at a pivotal point in our growth as a business and believe that Harvard is the perfect partner to match our drive and can support our aspirations.”

Lorna Hughes, Managing Director, PR and AR at Harvard said: “SilverRail is an ambitious company on a fantastic trajectory. From the first call with the team there, we clicked and knew immediately that it could be a great partnership. We’re excited to bring our knowledge and expertise to support SilverRail’s next phase of growth – for a brand at this stage of its journey, PR is vital and we’re proud to be on-board!”
