Nominations Now Live.

Railway Benefit Fund (RBF) is thrilled to announce the 6th annual Heart of Gold Awards, which celebrates the extraordinary individuals and teams that make a real difference in the rail industry!

Nominated by their peers, these unsung heroes go above and beyond, inspiring colleagues and strengthening communities.

This is an opportunity to thank colleagues and show them how much they are appreciated and valued.

“This is one of the most rewarding events we do,” said Jo Kaye, CEO at RBF. “It really hits home how amazing our railway people are and the difference they can make.”

Past winners have been recognised for supporting local causes and offering unwavering support during challenging times.

This year, nominations are open across six categories:

  • Lifetime Achievement Award: Sponsored by Railpen – Honors an individual with a long-standing commitment to excellence in rail.
  • Rail Hero Award: Sponsored by Freightliner – Celebrates an act of exceptional bravery or selflessness.
  • Wellbeing Champion Award: Sponsored by Health Shield – This award recognises an individual who actively promotes positive mental and physical wellbeing within their team.
  • Star Team Award: Sponsored by Amaro – Honors a team demonstrating outstanding collaboration and dedication to a common goal.
