The sustainable, leather manufacturer, ELeather has launched a new material collection in January 2023. Designed to evoke a reaction and inspire designers and brands across a wide range of markets, including footwear, luxury leather goods and transport.
Reflecting the gritty days of the 80s rebellion, Anarcho Punk features a protest colour palette.
High gloss finishes, vivid contrasting colours, ripped and torn textures are the main focus in this collection. Reminiscent of worn leather jackets, ripped jeans and t-shirts displaying bold, loud colours.
Our current challenging political and economic state finds uncanny parallels with the 80s decade. Add to this the pressing issue of slowing down climate change and there’s plenty of reasons to be angry and disappointed. The greater public has also rediscovered the strength in coming together united by their beliefs and public pressure on those in power – whether in political, environmental or commercial context.
ELeather materials are made from leather offcuts collected from tanneries that would otherwise be sent to landfill. The company has developed a unique, patented manufacturing process that results in materials that are more durable yet equally as luxurious as traditional leather at a fraction of the environmental cost.
The Anarcho Punk collection (plus all ELeather trend collections and grain collection) is available in digital format, via the company’s website – www.eleathergroup.com.
