BCM start work on the Thameslink Programme

As one of the UK’s most prestigious rail investment schemes, the £5.5bn Thameslink Programme will deliver tangible results for millions of people in London and the South East.

BCM Construction is delighted to have secured Work Bank 1 (a design and build contract) to extend the platforms at Luton Airport Parkway and Mill Hill Broadway Stations. These are the first real construction works for the Thameslink Team since it was re-launched last year. BCM have been praised by Network Rail for their quick response and start on site following the funding decision which was taken in July 2007. Work is already well underway at Luton Airport Parkway which is the first station out of 22 planned platform extensions on the Thameslink route by 2011.
