Independent Glass laminated + toughened double glazing unit

Independent Glass offer a laminated + toughened double glazing unit for carriage bodyside glazing that meets the new stringent Passenger Containment recommendations recently issued by RSSB.

Independent Glass were involved in the initial conception, manufacture and testing of the new specification to meet the required improvement in passenger safety.

At only 18mm thickness overall, the new Independent Glass product is suitable for both replacement of pre 1994 stock as well as new build.

The new unit is already in use in FGW and GNER MKIII STOCK and specified for Southern’s MKIII stock.
