Douglas Oakervee has been appointed as the new chair of HS2 Ltd, the company charged with delivering High Speed Two. The appointment is for up to five years, with the potential for it to be renewed for an additional five years.
Oakervee was executive director of Crossrail Ltd until 2009. Prior to that he was project director at Chek Lap Kok Airport in Hong Kong.
