Pay Band 7 salary range: £57,232 - £69,497 pa depending on experience
The Department for Transport’s vision is for a transport systemthat is an engine for economic growth, but one that is alsogreener, safer and improves quality of life in our communities.We provide leadership across the transport sector, workingwith regional, local and private sector partners to achieveour objectives.We are looking for individuals with strong commercialnegotiating skills, who are experienced in programme andproject management, in order to help us deliver theGovernment’s programme of enhancements to the country’sroad and rail networks.You will be working closely with ministers, senior figures in thetransport sector and other key external stakeholders inmanaging and developing large commercial contracts andmajor infrastructure projects.It is essential that you have a strong track record in managingrisk and in challenging the nature, scope and commercialstructure of projects, in order to achieve the best possible valuefor money. We welcome applicants who have worked in sectorswith an emphasis on delivery. Knowledge of the transport sectoris desirable, but not essential.
